Welcome to Yamaboushi’s website. We are the ’RYOKAN’(Japanese style inn) in Yufuin, Oita where you can enjoy hot springs and local cuisine.
It takes 6 minutes to go to Yufuin station on foot. Since we are located in the middle of Yufumi Street and Yunotsubo Street which are in the center of Yufuin, we recommend you walk around the town!
Inside the grounds, the source of the hot spring that is exclusively for our ’RYOKAN’ is gushing out. Please enjoy Yufuin’s natural hot springs with an ample supply of water and the medicinal
benefits while seeing Mt.Yufu from the open-air bath.
We serve meals which fully use seasonal ingredients and Yufuin’s local foods.
Although we are small ’RYOKAN’ which a family runs, we are trying to show you hearty hospitality correspondingly.
When you come to Oita, please visit us feeling like we are your home in Yufuin.
Although we can’t speak English very much, we shall be happy to help making your trip enjoyable. We are truly looking forward to seeing you.
Hot springs
The source of the hot springs is our own. 62 degrees Celsius water is gushing out inside the grounds.
Please enjoy natural hot springs with an ample supply of water and the medicinal benefits.
If the weather is fine, you may be able to see Mt.Yufu from the open-air bath.
Hot spring for family
You can take this bath with your family in a relaxed mood.
We ask you when to reserve in order of arrival. (usage time: 45 minutes）
*Depending on the situation, we may not be able to meet your demands.
*We basically refuse guests who want to use with same-sex people or alone. If you have some special reasons, please feel free to tell us.
Yufuin’s seasonal cuisine
We cook every meal carefully while making the best use of Yufuin’s local ingredients such as Berkshire pig, Bungo beef,
Yufuin-bonchi-mai (rice that is raised at basins in Yufuin) and so on.
We hope you to enjoy the meal until you finish eating the last bite of them.
Guest rooms
We prepare some different types of rooms; twin, double and Japanese- style room.
Every room has a toilet and a washstand. (We don’t have modular baths.)
Please make yourself at home in a warm and relaxing space.
